Wibby Brewing, Longmont’s ninth microbrewery, opens their doors Labor Day weekend 2015. Wibby will be brewing up something different in their downtown Longmont location – German-style lager beers. They will always serve their three flagship brands: Wibby IPL, a red lager with a smooth malt finish and pungent, citrusy hop aroma, Moondoor Dunkel, a supple and crisp dark lager with a medium body and chocolate roast flavor, and Lightshine Helles, a light, sweet Bavarian-influenced lager with a nice, crisp finish. They will also serve rotating seasonal beers throughout the year.
Started by two college friends, Ryan Wibby (The Brewmaster) and Ted Risk (The Company Man), Wibby promises a delicious pint of beer with a fun and spirited atmosphere. Located in an 8,300 square-foot old truck maintenance building near downtown Longmont’s new South Main Station, a new residential/commercial site that will continue to encourage the hip, urban renewal of downtown Longmont, Wibby Brewing spared no expense when they renovated the brewery. The modern, industrial decor is welcoming and modest, while they have a HUGE patio area with sunshades and plenty of comfortable seating.
Wibby is located at 209 Emery Street. Their hours of operation are Sunday-Thursday 11 a.m.-9:30 p.m. and Friday & Saturday 11 a.m.-Midnight. For more information, visit www.wibbybrewing.com or their Facebook page.
