The mission of Visit Longmont is to support, market, develop, and enhance historical, cultural, business, meeting, and recreational activities that increase visitation to the City of Longmont and surrounding areas in order to establish and develop the City of Longmont as a desirable destination for visitors and enrich the economic well-being of the community.
Volunteers play an integral role in the operations of Visit Longmont. With that in mind, Visit Longmont is searching for two types of volunteers: Office Volunteers and Event Volunteers. Our office is open Monday-Thursday from 8:30 a.m.-5 p.m. and Friday from 8:30 a.m.-4 p.m. Volunteers work over the lunch hours from 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m., but we are open to volunteers coming in during ANY of our office hours. Our volunteers will assist our staff by answering phones, stuffing envelopes, restocking brochures, and most importantly providing excellent guest service to our visitors by answering questions and helping make their visit to Longmont memorable.
In addition to assisting visitors at the Visit Longmont office, we have volunteer opportunities at many local events. Visit Longmont sponsors numerous area events, and we have a presence at most of those events. Volunteers can assist with answering questions, handing out marketing materials, and serving as a friendly face in the community.
The only requirements we look for in our volunteers are: individuals who enjoy working with people, and LOVE to brag about Longmont. Our office is laid back, relaxed, and we like to have fun!
