Visit Longmont Seeks Volunteers for Summer Season

Are you LOCO for Longmont? If you would love to help people discover all that Longmont and the surrounding area have to offer, Visit Longmont wants to talk to you. We are currently looking for volunteers who can commit to working at least two shifts per month during our busier summer season.

Visit Longmont volunteers will assist the staff at our downtown Longmont office. We are located at 512 4th Avenue, #103. Visitors can come into our office to access information about Longmont, Boulder County and the surrounding communities. We are looking for friendly, helpful people who are comfortable using a computer and handling cash and credit card sales. You will be fully trained and a full-time staff member will be with you most, if not all, of your shift.

We are looking for volunteers who are familiar with Longmont or are willing to learn because first and foremost, we ask our volunteers to assist all visitors with area tourism information. We help acquaint our visitors to the area and give attraction, lodging, events and dining recommendations. In addition to enthusiastic customer service, our volunteers help restock brochures, perform information searches on a computer, stuff event bags with handouts and goodies and label mailings.

Beginning in May, Visit Longmont will be open on Saturdays from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. We are looking for volunteers who are willing to work Saturdays from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. or 1 p.m.-4 p.m. During the week, we are open 8:45 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 8:45 a.m.-4 p.m. on Fridays. We are more flexible with volunteer hours during the week. We just ask for a three-hour commitment each time you volunteer, and that you volunteer at least twice per month.

We welcome volunteers who are 18 years old and up. It’s a perfect opportunity for anyone needing high school or college volunteer service hours, retirees, Longmont enthusiasts or anyone who likes to work with people. If you are interested in volunteering, please email staff@visitlongmont.org and include your name, contact information, reason why you would like to volunteer and the names, phone numbers and email addresses of two professional or educational references.

If you have any questions, please call (303) 776-9011.
