Venus de Miles is Colorado’s first and largest women’s bike ride and finish line festival. The bike festival will be held on Saturday, Aug. 26 starting and ending in Prospect Park in Prospect New Town in south Longmont. Multiple course options welcome all ability levels and ages to this celebration of sisterhood and community. Registration includes extensive on-course support, complimentary lunch, cocktails, pampering, commemorative T-shirt and a lot of fun.
The event benefits Greenhouse Scholars, an education non-profit that cultivates extraordinary college students from low-income communities. The program supports, inspires and drives their scholars to be catalysts for change in their lives, their families and their communities forever.
Venus de Miles features courses to accommodate any participant, novice or seasoned. Choose among a rolling 33-mile course, a 64-mile metric century, or a 100-mile century course. All courses go through beautiful Boulder County along the foothills of the Rocky Mountains.
The ride start and finish line festival will take place in Prospect Park, 700 Tenacity Dr. Prospect New Town, Colorado’s first New Urbanist community, is located on a former 80-acre tree farm in south Longmont. It is an eclectic neighborhood that blends residential and business properties that mix the best of city living with a small-town attitude. Intimate, tree-lined streets, numerous parks and bold and stylish architecture dominated by front porches are the norm here. Prospect features a variety of unique restaurants, one-of-a-kind boutiques and festive community events.
Registration for the ride is $95 in advance or $105 day of the race. If you would prefer to register as a Fundraiser, registration is only $30, but you commit to fundraise a minimum of $250 by August 13. When you reach the fundraising goal, you will also receive unique Venus de Miles fundraising gifts. Please note, if you are unable to raise at least $250 by August 13, you will be required to pay the lessor amount of the following: the difference of the funds you did raise and the $250 goal OR $65 which is the difference between the discounted and regular full price registration cost.
