Shoes & Brews, in partnership with Left Hand Brewing Company, will host their 4th Annual Sole Mates 5k & Brew Fest on Saturday, Nov. 4. The race begins at 10 a.m., and after you are finished, enjoy a post-race party along the St. Vrain Greenway.
This annual 5K event begins on the Greenway at Left Hand Brewing, 1265 Boston Ave., and continues through the trail system that winds along the St. Vrain River. You’ll head over to Roger’s Grove Park then back to finish at Shoes & Brews, 63 S. Pratt Parkway. The route is flat, fast and offers a great view of the Rocky Mountains. For added incentive, first place female and male runners will win their weight in beer from Left Hand Brewing – winners will walk away with a keg of their choice. If speed isn’t your thing, a Best Dressed Contest will also be held offering winners Left Hand Beer for a Year.
After the race, enjoy beer from both Left Hand and Shoes & Brews (bring your ID), food from Jefe’s Tacos & Tequila, live music and a post-race expo featuring: Mellivora Leggings, Picky Bars, Hoka, YMCA of Boulder County, Sword Hydration, Roll Recovery, American National Insurance, Sticker Giant, Yoga Pod, Goodr Sunglasses and more. There will also be post-race raffle giveaways including: beer, Mizuno shoes, Hoka shoes, Roll Recovery, Mellivora Leggings, Ultimate Direction vests, Sticker Giant, Gold’s Gym Memberships, Club Pilates Memberships, Yoga Pod Memberships, Sweaty Bands, Picky Bars, Bolder Insurance and more.
Race entry is only $35 and includes food and beer after your run and a BOCO Gear Technical Race Hat ($25 value). Free rides will also be provided between Left Hand Brewing and Shoes & Brews. Friends and family are encouraged to join the race course to cheer on the runners, and entry to the post-race party is free. Donations are encouraged if they have a beer (bring your ID), since race proceeds will benefit the Left Hand Brewing Foundation. Non-alcoholic drinks will also be on hand thanks to Oskar Blues Brewery.
