Open Door Brewing Company Welcomes Guests to Their New Taproom in Longmont

Open Door Brewing Company has opened the doors of their new taproom in Longmont’s trendy Prospect New Town neighborhood. The 1,500 square-foot taproom includes a rooftop patio where you can enjoy the brewery’s three signature brews – Libertas Cream Ale, Over the Moon Milk Stout and Short Arm IPA – and magnificent views of the Rocky Mountains. Open Door will be hosting a Grand Opening weekend of the taproom Friday, March 24 through Sunday, March 26.

Open Door Brewing Co. may be a familiar name to Colorado craft beer fans. Their beers have been available for over a year, having contract brewed through Denver’s Sleeping Giant Brewing Company. This allowed the brewery’s owners, Andy Riedel, Billy McDivitt and Michael Badaracca, to get their beers out in the market at a lower cost. Their beers are currently available at over 60 liquor stores throughout Longmont, Boulder County and the Denver metro area.

With the opening of the new 175-seat taproom, designed by Longmont’s BAS1S Architecture + Design, Open Door will feature about 12 taps that include their three signature brews, seasonal brews, collaborations with local brewers and rotating guest beers. Snacks will be sold and food trucks will be on hand. Plus, there are a number of restaurant options in the Prospect neighborhood to choose from for takeout or delivery to the brewery.

Open Door Brewing Co., 2030 Ionosphere St., Unit G,  will have the following hours for their Grand Opening Weekend:

Friday, March 24 3-11 p.m.

Saturday, March 25 11 a.m.-11 p.m.

Sunday, March 26 11 a.m.-9 p.m.

Open Door’s three signature brews, Libertas Cream Ale, Over the Moon Milk Stout and Short Arm IPA.

Open Door will continue to brews their beer at Sleeping Giant, their contract brewer, and they hope to begin brewing onsite at the Longmont taproom sometime next year.
