Longmont Oktoberfest @ Roosevelt Park
Sep 22 @ 4:00 pm – Sep 23 @ 10:00 pm
Longmont Oktoberfest @ Roosevelt Park | Longmont | Colorado | United States

Left Hand Brewing is proud to present the return of Longmont Oktoberfest, a 2-day music festival unlike anything in Northern Colorado. Live music, ten breweries, two cideries, local food and more, take over Longmont for two days of celebration.

This year’s headliner band will be the witty and energetic ska punk band, Reel Big Fish, playing Friday night. Other bands rocking out include: Andy Frasco & The UN, Perpetual Groove, Pandas & People, Face, Rapidgrass, Bonnie & The Clydes, and Gasoline Lollipops.

Brat eating and stein holding contests, best dressed awards and the world’s longest bratwurst festivities, make this an annual tradition you don’t want to miss. Ponies, a petting zoo, rock climbing wall, water activities, along with a full kid zone, Longmont Oktoberfest has activities for the whole family. Pull out your lederhosen and dirndls, grab a pretzel or brat, and join in the fall fun while we support local charities. Prost!

Get Your Kilt and Your Celtic Spirit On, for all things Celtic at the First Annual Celtic Fest, Saturday, September 30, from 11:00a.m. to 7:00p.m.!

This brand new Celtic Fest will open with a rousing bagpipe procession and feature a full day of engaging and interactive fun for the whole family, benefiting local food banks and other local charities.

Festival goers can enjoy the beer and whiskey garden, dance to Angus Mohr, a well-known Celtic rock band, and Take Down the Door, a traditional Celtic band, enjoy Celtic dancers, bagpipes, Celtic athletic exhibitions, many family and children’s activities, storytelling and a Celtic art show and competition.

At 12:00, the St. Brigit’s Bathwater Beer Party begins in the beer and whiskey garden, launching a special brew created for Celtic Fest. Additional beverages and food will be available for purchase. There will be Celtic clans and a “Kirkin’ o’ the Tartans,” a traditional blessing of each clan’s tartan dating back almost 300 years. Another fun attraction will be the Bonnie Knees Contest, featuring brave men wearing kilts and vying for the title of “Best Knees,” as voted by blindfolded female judges!

The event also will honor first responders and the military, and it will close with a ceremonial bonfire, steeped in Celtic tradition.

Celtic Fest will take place at 110 Johnson Street, Frederick, on the grounds of St. Brigit Episcopal Church. All proceeds will benefit local community programs, including Brigit’s Bounty Community Resources, which donated over 2,000 pounds of food to local food banks in 2016, and Brigit’s Village, an upcoming senior housing project.
