A great complement to your rowing, sculling and/or erging. You do not need to be a rower to benefit and enjoy these yoga sessions.
Ever feel like your rowing would improve if only you were a little more flexible? Missing the peacefulness and meditative aspect of being on the water?
This winter Longmont Sculling Club is offering a weekly yoga class, specifically geared towards rowing. Not only will we address specific muscle groups, we also will integrate mindfulness and breath work. This class can be considered restorative so it should not disturb any other workouts you usually do.
Chantal has been teaching yoga for over 6 years. She took her Yoga Teacher Training with the Shambava School of Yoga, and teaches anything from restorative meditative classes, to energizing vinyasa classes and lessons for children. Chantal has been a rower for over 20 years and has been coaching with the club for several seasons.
Yoga will be taught at Twin Freaks on Fridays from 7:10AM to 8:25AM. Please talk to Chantal if you need to leave a little early, because that can be accommodated. Bring your own mat if you have one, but we will also offer some to loan.
Yoga requires a fairly consistent attendance to reach your goal of gaining flexibility. Therefore we ask to sign up for a full month. At the end of the season, there will be a few free classes offered, specifically to make up any classes that you had to miss.
Please email Chantal at firstname.lastname@example.org if you would like to attend so she can make sure that there are enough props available.
