The Downtown Longmont Creative District will kick off the 2017 holiday season with the annual Holiday Tree Lighting Ceremony on Friday, Nov. 24 and Small Business Saturday on November 25.
The holiday spirit is alive and well in Longmont! Downtown Longmont will be hosting their annual Holiday Tree Lighting Ceremony Friday, Nov. 24 from 6:30-7 p.m. in the 6th Avenue Plaza (west of Main Street). Ring in the holiday season on this festive night filled with hot cocoa, goody bags and carolers. Bring your family Downtown and help light this year’s tree.
Saturday, Nov. 25 is Small Business Saturday in Downtown Longmont, and holiday shoppers are encouraged to Shop Local! Stop by the many boutiques and galleries to pick up some gifts and stocking stuffers, then grab something to eat at one of Downtown Longmont’s many restaurants. Need something for the non-shoppers in your group? Drop them off at one of four craft breweries, St. Vrain Cidery or the newly opened Longtucky Spirits Distillery – great places to hang out, grab a craft brew and relax!
There are lots of new businesses that have opened in Downtown Longmont, so plan to explore the latest shops and restaurants. Watch the ice carvers in St. Stephen’s Plaza, be on the lookout for costumed characters handing out prizes, enjoy live entertainment from street performers, register to win a downtown gift card at participating locations and play BINGO, a family-friendly holiday game (cards available at participating businesses).
Looking for the perfect hostess gift, stocking stuffer, or that hard-to-shop-for person on your list? Purchase a Downtown Longmont Gift Card!
