Longmont’s Rocky Mountain Pumpkin Ranch offers fall family fun this October. Their annual Pumpkin Carnival celebrates the year-end harvest with pumpkin picking, a hay maze, rides, petting zoo and much more.
The carnival gives kids the chance to make their way through a hay maze or corn stalk tunnel, paint pumpkins, pet baby cows, goats, and llamas, ride on mini-airplanes or carousel cars, play in a bouncy castle, race through the inflatable obstacle course or ride a pony. Parking and admission are free, however each of the activities will cost between $1 and $5.
In addition to the carnival activities, there will be a Kids’ Corner selling Halloween tricks and treats. Food will be available to purchase and includes fall favorites like hand-dipped caramel apples, hot pretzels and corn dogs, and picnic lunches are welcome. The 2017 Pumpkin Carnival will be held every Saturday and Sunday in October from 9 a.m.-6 p.m.
The Pumpkin Ranch’s Carnival is also open weekdays in October from 9 a.m.-5:30 p.m. Visitors are invited to take a self-guided tour of the ranch for $8/child, which includes pumpkin painting, an inflated obstacle course, the hay maze and feeding the farm animals.
The Pumpkin Ranch does business as Full Circle Organic Farms. Full Circle grows over 100 different varieties of vegetables – all USDA Certified Organic – which are available every Saturday at the Longmont Farmers Market and at the Pumpkin Ranch’s farmstand open in October Monday-Friday 9 a.m.-6 p.m. Purchase in-season produce, roasted peppers, honey, juices and ciders, canned goodies, pumpkins, squash, butters and fall decorations.
