Sustainable Resilient Longmont will host the 3nd Annual Youth of the Earth Festival at the Longmont Museum & Cultural Center, 400 Quail Rd., on Saturday, April 22 from noon -5 p.m.
The Youth of the Earth Festival is a free, family-focused event featuring hands-on activities, performances and education that will highlight sustainability and environmental issues. This year the event has expanded to include a series of presentations and discussions geared towards adults as well as plenty of kid-friendly activities. Local food and beverages will be on hand for purchase.
The event is in partnership with Sustainable Resilient Longmont, a local environmental group dedicated to improving the environment in Longmont and beyond. They learn, teach, advocate and act, working collaboratively and inclusively with all ages and backgrounds. Their primary focus is on public environmental education as the foundation for change.
